Alex is CEO of Take Off Labs and Vice President of Engineering at Golf Genius Software. He gained industry experience at top software companies, including Microsoft and Google and was also CTO (’09 to ’10) of start-up 123LinkIt.com (acquired by NetLine). He has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Jacobs University Bremen, Germany and Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne. Alex has competed in various Computer Science competitions. He won a Bronze Medal at the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics 2008, is a Google CodeJam semi-finalist and a TopCoder finalist.

Flavia is President of Take Off Labs and Vice President of Engineering at Golf Genius Software. Flavia spent summers interning for Microsoft and various German research institutes before meeting Take Off Labs co-founder, Alex. She graduated from Jacobs University Bremen, Germany with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science (and Electrical Engineering) and from Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship. While enjoying a semester abroad at Carnegie Mellon University, PA, USA, she was awarded the Apple Women in Engineering Scholarship. In 2012, she received the Google Anita Borg Scholarship.

Raul holds a BSc. in Computer Science from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He has been a computer programming enthusiast ever since high school when he built his first graphic applications. His first interaction with web applications was in the 9th grade, but he truly learnt what web development is all about after becoming a part of Take Off Labs team in 2014. Now he uses his broad range of skills to bring the best designs and features to our applications. In his spare time, Raul enjoys reading, playing table tennis and teaching his cat new tricks.

Adrian holds a BSc. in Computer Science and an MSc. in Management of Business Administration from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He has been building web applications for friends and family ever since he got his first computer in the early 1990s. His skills are based on an extensive understanding of IT technology concepts with a flair for graphic design. Before joining Take Off Labs in 2011, Adrian also ran his own photo studio creating albums for high school students. In his spare time, Adrian enjoys driving, photography and playing with his husky, Jack.

Ion holds a Masters degree in Software Engineering from VU University in Amsterdam. As one of Europe’s most vibrant start-up hubs, while studying there he had the opportunity to get on the inside track for a number of exciting tech companies. He’s developed software for advertising on Facebook and online copyright protection services. Ion loves the expressivity and elegance of Ruby on Rails for making the development of applications fast and enjoyable. In his free time, he plays in a series of volleyball tournaments and loves to get out in nature to do some hiking.

Alexandra holds a BSc. in Psychology from Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She loves studying human behaviour and is curious about what makes people happier. She thinks that a healthy mind is maintained with a hunger for knowledge of any kind. Alexandra’s background is in customer support for large telecom companies but has since joined our team and started applying her various skills to golf software support. In her free time, Alexandra enjoys reading books, taking long walks and singing.

Dan is Senior Software Engineer at Take Off Labs and has over 20 years’ experience programming large systems. After starting his career as Systems Engineer at a large aluminium plant, he then moved into telecoms working for Romtelecom, the largest Romanian telecom service provider. From there he moved to Atlas Telecom, a privately held telecom company, where he led the billing systems development team. Combining his extensive skills in large billing software systems with web development, Dan then joined electronics distributor Lechpol.

Marcel is Chief Operating Officer at Take Off Labs. He is a people-oriented leader with a great deal of experience in management and human resources. With this in mind, he is able to recognise the potential of employees and help them to reach their goals. He has a degree in Oil and Gas Engineering and an MSc. in Oil and Gas Management. In addition, he has completed courses in organisational and risk management in controlled environments.

George has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the West University of Timisoara. His previous industry experience includes internships at Facebook and Palantir. He has competed in a number of programming competitions like Algoritmiada, ACM ICPC and a multitude of online contests. Nowadays George focuses his talents on web development, with a relentless attention to detail. George can play several musical instruments, but mainly the violin. He also likes to play table tennis, work out and watch Twitch in his free time.

Alex is one of our youngest prodigies, currently studying Computer Science at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. He first developed a passion for Ruby on Rails in high school and since working with Take Off Labs, his enthusiasm has continued to grow. He is always doing his best to use the latest technology in order to build a better web for everyone. Alex has competed in numerous Computer Science contests and hackathons, the most noteworthy being his participation in the American Computer Science League Final two years in a row. In his free time, he enjoys reading poetry and playing video games.
